A little about me and my world.

I have always wanted to write, so in college I took up engineering. Cross my heart true. When I'm not pecking at the keyboard I enjoy maintaining the family graveyard, swamp hikes with my dogs, and lurking in the Appalachian Mountains. My work has appeared in Insidious Reflections, Dark Gothic and Twisted Dreams as well as Aspen Mountain Press, Red Rose Publishing, Lulu.com and JustusRoux

You'll also find a picture below of our horses: Magic (my son's pride and joy), April (my baby who is expecting a baby of her own) and Jack (our standing stud). Brushing and feeding them is another thing I do when I'm not writing.

The History or Story Behind My Site

Does it need one? Well, I guess a little doesn't hurt. Once upon a time, I used to be a webmistress. Then one day I received a nasty blow to the noggin and lost a large amount of my technical know-how, namely math and computer programming. My left brain went on vacation, literally. Building this site has been a relearning experience and I thank all my readers for their patience, technical suggestions and assistance.

In case you were wondering about the pictures, I am an avid gardener. On my blogs everyone gets treated to pictures of woodland critters I discover. I did have pictures of my husband's buildings but for some reason they never loaded. They all featured his business, Glisan Painting. You can visit Glisan Painting online. Say hi :)

Other places to visit.

At Love Romances Cafe, the holiday anthology from Aspen Mountain Press, Babes in Toyland II, was nominated for Best Anthology of 2007. All eight of us who penned stories for the anthology were honored and thrilled to have won Honorable Mention.

Babes in Toyland II was also nominated for Best Anthology of 2007 at Preditors & Editors (picture will take you to that poll).

And Holly's Happy Days was also up for Best Short Story (other) of 2007 at Preditors & Editors.
